Lords Meade Vocational College

Lords Meade Vocational College in Jinja, Uganda, recently launched a project in collaboration with Haileybury, a private school in the UK and Makerere University, to promote ISSB and appropriate technology in schools and local communities.

A classroom block and teachers' house are being constructed at Lords Meade, under the supervision of Engineer Moses Musaazi, that will serve as a model for future similar developments.

Lords Meade and Haileybury students will promote the technology through demonstrations, workshops and in-service training and the two schools intend to develop a course in appropriate technology, for Ugandan school students, supported by the Faculty of Engineering at Makerere.
